ABOUT THE NEW PLAY LAB
Each fall, we pair five playwrights with five directors and invite them to begin work on a new play. The lab meets as a whole on a bi-monthly basis, and the lab members provide feedback and support for the developing works. Over the course of six months, the writes complete first drafts of the new full length plays, which culminate in public staged readings.
The 2012 New Play Lab is supported by the Rainin Foundation, the Zellerbach Family Foundation, and Theatre Bay Area's CA$H grants.
